Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions has an immediate opening for a full-time (12-month) clinician educator, non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor. The Department is nationally recognized for its leadership and innovation in occupational therapy doctoral education. This faculty position is dedicated to expanding the scope of occupational therapy practice and education and challenging our students to actively reflect the University’s Ignatian values. The faculty member would join a progressive and dynamic environment of active, creative, and engaged 30-member faculty.
Minimal Qualifications:
- Terminal doctoral degree in occupational therapy, or related area of study; PhD, EdD, DSc, ScD, or OTD.
- Occupational therapist with active Nebraska license or eligibility for Nebraska licensure.
- Three years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist; Physical rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Experience in academia including teaching in distance and/or hybrid programs preferred.
- Evidence of excellent communication and teamwork.
- Experience in service and scholarship.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in teaching, scholarship, and service to the Department of Occupational Therapy and the University.
- Primary teaching responsibilities in physical rehabilitation and/or other courses in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy Programs.
- Manage coursework and teach proficiently to provide excellent education in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online learning environments.
- Maintain current knowledge of occupational therapy literature, reimbursement, and ACOTE standards to maintain program adherence and integrity.
- Provide student support and advisement. Experience working with diverse populations and students with accommodations preferred.
- Provide mentorship for capstone projects and/or research.
