Physical Therapy Faculty Position
Creighton University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution, is accepting applications for three full-time faculty positions in an innovative Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. The ideal applicant will possess a high affinity to advance our program mission and strategic initiatives including a commitment to teaching and learning across the educational spectrum in both professional and post-professional residency education. All faculty are required to develop and achieve a scholarly agenda. Tenure and non-tenure tracks are considered depending on experience and potential trajectory.
We are looking for Physical Therapists with qualifications in one or more of the following areas:
-experience/ability to teach in the foundational/basic sciences
-background in educational or clinical research
-orthopedic clinical practice specialty
-interest/skills in building clinical practice/faculty practice
-ability to instruct and provide facilitation of learning in entry-level and residency education
Candidates must be eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in Nebraska. Possession of an academic doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DSc, or equivalent; ABD may be considered) is preferred. A collaborative approach to student learning, assessment and clinical reasoning, and a commitment to leadership in the physical therapy profession is expected. Department and university teaching, scholarship, and service expectations are dependent upon applicant experience and background. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Competitive start-up packages are available for tenure positions dependent upon research expertise and potential for growth.
