Creighton University is a Midwest comprehensive Catholic, Jesuit University. The Department of Pharmacy Sciences invites applications for a full-time 12-month tenure track faculty position at the rank of assistant/associate professor. Expertise and experience in teaching pharmacology and related topics to pharmacy and graduate students is strongly preferred. The position is available immediately and applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Faculty with interest and experience in web-based education are especially encouraged to apply. Responsibilities of the position include instruction in both campus and distance Doctor of Pharmacy pathways, participation in graduate education, the establishment of a basic or applied research laboratory, and university and professional service in accordance with the mission of Creighton University.
We are especially interested in candidates who investigate basic and translational topics of pharmacology and molecular biology relevant to cardiovascular diseases, addiction, pain, epilepsy, neurological and infectious diseases. Successful candidates will be provided laboratory space and a start-up package to develop their independent research program. There are collaborative faculty with diverse interests and expertise, several core facilities, and some internal grant mechanisms to support their initial research efforts. Qualified candidates should have a PhD, or PharmD/PhD degree with significant research experience.
The ideal candidate will have teaching experience and demonstrated success collaborating in research endeavors. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualification and experience with an attractive benefits package.
